Ha ha No its not cancelled! I was told to go home for the night and be back there tomorrow morning at 7.15am to get ready for surgery at 9am! So I've just had a yummy dinner and will try and get some sleep later.
Seems rather more intricate than I'd presumed.. I may not be dancing with all the drains I'll have for awhile. Can't sleep lying down either and have to have my legs up on 2 pillows 24 hours a day for a few days. Give me a blanket please!!! The ward staff seem fantastic, very friendly, have had my ecg and more blood - geez give me Victoria St Lab anyday. I've had the same lady twice now and boy she is useeeeless! Got two nasty blood blisters from today.
Could be a week to 10 days before I'm home so I may not be updating this for awhile, though might get a friend to do it for me.
So friends and family, enjoy your day tomorrow. Enjoy your breakfast, your lunch, your dinner and breakfast on Thursday.. geez ... Haha. I'll be looking forward to the shout when I get back to work haha.

- I have two adult daughters, my baby son is nearly 29 and my four gorgeous grandchildren are aged 2 - 12years. I love patchwork and still learning the quilting part. On June 9, 2007 I turned 50. A month later I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and subsequently had a masectomy and reconstruction. I'm now getting back into my craft which is so therapeutic. My only addiction is my growing stash!

To all of mums great friends and supporters. thanks so much for being there you have no idea what it has meant to mum and her family to know that so many people care.
Mum has sailed through surgery today and has even said she still loves us so that is a good sign.
And yes mum was right I do read her blog every day and I think it is brilliant as I know what she is thinking and how she feels.
so thank you to everyone, as a daughter it is so good to know that so many people love my mum

Mum is doing really well and will be home tomorrow. I think she is looking forward to being in her own home but most of all catching up with all of her friends.
